Information

Underground, hard to find, hard to explain, a bit unusual, a bit bent: inspired by personal myths, the Common Hours Myths campaign focuses on the bold and the ephemeral through a lens of delicious absurdism. The story accompanies two different personas who inhabit the same space at intersecting moments in time: one is private and withdrawn, programmed to demure, ghostlike behaviour and a restrained sensibility; the other is rapturous and reckless, commanding the surreal surroundings with abandon. Whether swathed in porous wool the texture of freshly fallen snow, enveloped in plush velvets, or cocooned in mohair or printed cashmere, the CH woman toes the line between sharp masculinity and hyper-femininity with grit and menace. A feeling of gaslight and paranoia pervades, but never without a hint of playful mischief, traversing moments of light and darkness.

Common Hours layers meaning into their garments, working on new ways of understanding luxury: every piece is a thematic inquisition, meticulously made, strictly numbered, and produced in limited editions. Ever-present is the connection to time through melting ice, ticking clocks, echoing footsteps, decadence and decay: a cornerstone of what it means to lose yourself in the common hours.
